When Sabastian Vettel
zoomed past the chequered flag at the illuminated Singapore GP, he almost guaranteed
himself the F1 crown for the 2nd year running.
How good he was or rather how bad the other drivers
were is a different story. In a way
takes away the sheen from Indian GP, as the race won’t have a major bearing on
the championships unless something theatrical happens at the Japanese GP.
But here’s the big 1. All you heavy metal fanatics out there,
there is something divine at the GP. You will get a chance to experience trance
with the rock idols as Metallica are
to play their first ever show on Indian soil on Friday, 28th October as the star act of F1 Rocks
in India. Though it is in collaboration with a Vodka brand, but I won’t give
details. It’s India and I have fears that my blog might be fined for promoting alcohol!!!
I wish it does not go the Enrique, Akon and Brian Adams way.
(The list is not exhaustive; I can go on and on with the concert cancellations
at NCR) Rather than adding to the buzz, it pinches away the exhilaration. So
please show some MERCY INDIAN GOVERNMENT.
Also the airlines, imagine METALLICA losing their gears to the Maharaja. Though
calling the Indian carrier Maharaja now is like adding insult to injury.

| WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF |
The good news never seems to arrest for Indian GP. I do not
wish to inflict Bloggers Curse, but there is another marvellous development.The
FIA has decided to hold the FIA awards ceremony for the 2011 season (referred
to as the formula one gala night) in India at the year end New Delhi is the first
Asian city to host these awards and has been chosen above a lot of more popular
choices like Monte Carlo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony is meant to
honour World Champions in Formula One, World Rally Championship, Karting and
Touring Car.
I desperately hope it goes out well, thought I still haven’t got
the tickets yet.
